Bear Island Land Company custom hand carved entry door
This entry door is made of solid Maple, the stiles and rails are curly maple. It was built for the real estate office of Bear Island Land Company on Sheridan Street in Ely Minnesota.
The carved panels are mirror images of the same scene, so it appears on the interior and exterior with the glass sandwiched in between. A piece of blue stained glass is set in to add a touch of color to the water area in the scene.
It is a heavy door, 2 1/4" thick, very "solid" feeling.
