Western Red Cedar and Alaskan Yellow Cedar custom hand carved door
The home owner wanted a door for the sauna in his basement. He had seen an old door with some old pinup type pictures of girls in swimsuits painted on it and said something with that sort of a theme. I wasn't quite sure where to go with that, but I thought something simple and hopefully somewhat classy. This is what I came up with. I made the panels out of Alaskan Yellow Cedar, because of it's carvability. The frame of the door is the more common Western Red Cedar. Being an interior door, I made it only 1 3/4" thick.
